A musical collaboration between Gordon Giltrap MBE  one of the UK’s most respected guitarists, and Stuart Jones renowned international composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist.

 

Pofacetilly combines keyboards and guitar to explore the way raw and spontaneous emotions can be expressed in melody and rhythm.

 

Stuart Jones comments:  ‘I had heard a lot of Gordon’s music, but his playing on this CD seems to have an unique melodic structure that oozes catchy and beautiful motifs and an addictive mellowness.  We wanted to keep an almost ‘live’ feel, as so much music these days is processed which can take away the pure musicianship. I hugely enjoyed recording this album as it allowed me freedom to explore some of my more intricate and uplifting styles whilst intertwining with Gordon’s inimitable licks.  Also I was able to express some of my divergent influences; Billy Sharpe (Shakatak), Oscar Peterson, Chopin and Prince’.
